I have been blessed to
be a woman who enjoys and appreciates the
finer things that life has to offer. I have
a loving husband, and a wonderful son, who
have been more valuable and important to me
than any precious stone. They are my life
and I will forever love them.
To make up for my small
family, I have girlfriends in all walks of
life that have and always will be near and
dear to me. I would have to say overall my
life has been fun-filled but for some reason
I still seek more, which is why I became a
Black Butterfly. From a distance, I watched
and admired their obvious love and support
for one another. It was clear to me that they
really enjoyed each other’s company.
Thanks to my membership,
my small family is now huge with lots of wonderful
and loving sisters that I can call my very
own. Each and every one of them posses something
that I always hoped to learn, but never thought
I could. Now I can proudly say that I am growing
into a better woman because of them and the
opportunities that the organization has to
offer.
I am now a more giving
person thanks to my participation in the volunteerisms.
Helping others less fortunate than me takes
the light off of me a little by shining a
lot of light on those that I help. The outings
and trips offer me the fun I always loved
to have and our camaraderie gives me a sense
of belonging as if I am really a part of this
family they call an organization. I’m living
a more balanced life that leaves me room to
mix business with pleasure—and I’m LOVIN’
IT!!!
The difficulties in life
that weighed me down may not have disappeared,
but my involvement with the Black Butterflies
has helped me to learn how to cope and be
a better person to myself allowing me to be
a better person to my family, my friends,
and my community.
