I have always been a woman of few words
but that is all changing, as I now have
something in my life that I am proud to
speak about as well as sisters that I
want to share things with. I have found
a new family which has allowed me to grow
into the beautiful woman that I am now,
and I am still growing and changing daily.
I began this journey quiet, shy, and unsure
of myself but that seems like a million
years ago now. I now speak up when I am
supposed to and I do not let feelings
of self doubt stop me from getting what
I want, need, and deserve. I often felt
alone and wondered if anyone truly cared
about what I thought or felt in the past
and now I have sisters who have my back,
through thick and thin. I am confident
in knowing that I have made a lifelong
commitment to women who have made that
same commitment back to me and who truly
mean it. I know that what we have is for
a lifetime and I am thankful for each
of them. They have made me a better daughter,
sister and woman and I truly can not picture
what my life would be like without them.
I have learned so much from my internship
and I will hold those memories forever.
This journey has changed my life and inspired
me to truly cherish women, something I
had trouble doing in the past. I hold
my sisters in my heart and soul and look
forward to our future and all we will
share together.
